K2 race – Elmbridge to Royal on 8 January 2012

Royal Canoe Club has is helping to stage a doubles race on Sunday 8 January. The race will start at midday at Elmbridge Canoe Club and will finish at Royal Canoe Club’s premises at Trowlock Island, Teddington. The race includes a lap of the main island at Elmbridge, making a total distance of 12.5 miles.

Important safety note: All competitors will be required to wear a buoyancy aid. Because our risk assessment is predicated on knowing exactly how many competitors will be taking part, it will not be possible to enter on the day. All entries must have been received by Friday 6 January either by post or email.
Royal CC members: we are making available most of our fleet of K2s for you to enter. If you are not entering the race, we expect you to turn up and help.
