Brabants: “tricky” to win in London

A good general round-up of who’s doing what in sprint canoeing on the GB Canoeing website.

The article includes some comments from the Beijing 2008 Olympic K1 1,000m champion Tim Brabants. He reflects on the tough time he’s had to make it back from injury in 2010, having slogged through 2011 and pretty much writing off the early part of this season when he was busy trying to qualify.

“I am now just getting better and better and back to be where I want to be at this stage and I am as ready as I can be.

“It is going to be really tricky to win again, I haven’t written myself off, I am back on form now and I have got the experience from previous Games, so I know I can handle the pressure side of it,” he told the website.
